SQL Server Analysis Service Training

Image

SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) is component of SQL Server. It is used to design, create and manage multidimensional structures called Cube that contain data aggregated from other data sources.

It enables BI (Business intelligence) workers to perform Data Analysis.

This SSAS Training is provided to help the participant to understand Dimension Modeling in depth.

This training helps the participants to gain complete understanding of dimensions, measures, cube, hierarchies, calculations, KPI, Actions,Perspectives,Partitions and aggregations. Real time requirements provided in this training helps the participant to understand concepts easily and effectively.

SQL Server Analysis Service Training Objectives

  • To understand basic Data Warehousing Concepts
  • To Use SSDT (SQL Server Data Tools) in detail for development of SSAS Project.
  • To gain detail understanding of the dimension modeling concepts like Dimensions Facts,Measures,Members, Attribute, Hierarchy ,Cube .
  • To learn the Cube Development Lifecycle.
  • To learn to create and populate the OLAP Database.
  • To learn basic MDX to query the cube and writing simple expressions.
  • To learn working with calculations.
  • To learn creating KPI
  • To learn how to implement Action, Perspective and Translation.
  • To learn to work with Partitions and aggregations.
  • To learn to deploy the Cube to SSAS Server.
  • To understand how to implement security in SSAS
  • To learn how to browse the cube using SSDT and SSMS

Prerequisites

Participants are need to be familiar with RDBMS concepts with skills to write queries. Working experience on any RDBMS would be an added advantage.
